John Havlik
Captain John “Coach” Havlik retired from the US Navy in 2014 after more than 31 years of distinguished naval service. His career military assignments included a full range of duties in Sea, Air, Land (SEAL) Teams, Special Boat Teams, and the elite Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He commanded several times during his career, and completed numerous deployments in key leadership positions, supporting various worldwide military operations, to include Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn. Havlik completed graduate studies at the Naval War College in Newport, RI, receiving a M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies.
Havlik is the CEO of JRH Consulting, offering individual/team consulting on building and leading high-performance teams. He is also the Special Advisor for Giant Leap Consulting, a courage-building company focused on helping people and organizations act with more courage.
Havlik is co-author of The Leadership Killer: Reclaiming Humility in an Age of Arrogance.
