C.J. Griffin
CJ Griffin has joined Pashman Stein, PC, in Hackensack, NJ, as an associate in its employment & labor practice. Griffin was recently named to New Jersey Law Journal’s “2012 New Leaders of the Bar.”
Griffin, a resident of Montclair, NJ, focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law. She also has experience handling other civil litigation matters including environmental issues, tort-based claims, estate litigation and contractual disputes. Griffin played an active role in two landmark appellate matters pertaining to immunity for 9-1-1 call takers and vacation entitlements for public school employees.
A champion of diversity and eradicating discrimination, Griffin chaired the diversity committee at Scarinci Hollenbeck. In addition, she currently serves as secretary of the GLBT Rights Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and as junior editor of the section’s newsletter. Griffin is a member of the Essex County LGBTQ Advisory Board, an appointed position by the County Executive. She has also authored numerous articles on gender identify and was a legal intern for the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, which investigates and prosecutes claims of discrimination.
She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and U.S. District Court- District of New Jersey.
Griffin earned a J.D. from, Rutgers School of Law and a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY-Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
