Jess McLamb

Jess Roper McLamb is President and Founder of Roper Bookkeeping. As a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Jess helps business owners create the financial information they need to make sound business decisions. For 20 years, she has worked with attorneys, healthcare providers, retailers, realtors, contractors, and other service providers to clean up their QuickBooks file and teach them to understand the numbers for their business.

Prior to starting her firm, Jess was a senior officer in banking and insurance for close to 20 years. She currently teaches small business workshops for area community colleges and SCORE and she facilitates the monthly meetings of the Wake County Women Business Owners Network, a group she founded in 1995. She has served as president and is a current member of the Raleigh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and the North Raleigh Civitan Club.

Jess graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math then attended North Carolina State University for post-graduate accounting courses. She also attended the BAI School of Banking, a three-year program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. When she is not working, she loves going to hockey games, reading, and spending time in the NC mountains.
