John Audette

As founder and CEO of 406 Strategies Inc., John has used his 15+ years in Internet marketing, working with small local companies to Fortune 500 enterprises, to develop the exclusive 406 Strategies Localization Platform™, the #1 way for local businesses to use the Internet for their business development.

An Internet marketing pioneer, John literally helped define the concepts of Internet marketing. (He was the first to use the phrase Search Engine Optimization [SEO] – perhaps a dubious distinction). He founded one of the first interactive agencies, Multimedia Marketing Group (MMG) in 1995 (sold in 2000 and called Outrider today); started the Internet News Bureau, one of the first online press release services on the Web in the mid-1990s; he also published the I-Sales Discussion list, an institution that grew into Adventive, the leading internet publisher of email discussion lists. He is the author of the popular and widely distributed “The Sweet 16: Principles for Building a Successful Internet Business”. His most recent Internet endeavor was to co-found AudetteMedia with his son Adam Audette, one of the world’s leading SEO specialists. In three years AudetteMedia has become one of the leading SEO firms, providing services to many Fortune 500 clients.
