Mike Schmidt
Mike Schmidt is vice chair of the law firm Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment group and managing partner of the firm’s New York midtown office. Mike’s practice focuses on representing companies in all facets of employment law, a key element of which is helping companies maintain positive employee relations and avoid litigation. For example, he conducts training for employers on harassment issues and other sources of employee legal actions. But he’s also a highly experienced trial and appellate lawyer who aggressively defends his clients’ interests whenever needed.
When he’s not working on behalf of his clients, Mike is an adjunct professor of law at Touro Law School in New York, where he teaches employment law. He produces a regular podcast called "Employment Law Now," publishes a blog on social media and employment law, and regularly writes for, and is interviewed by, the media, national journals and other publications on many aspects of employment law.
