She is responsible for driving Office Depot’s leadership in electronic commerce, including identifying and facilitating the development of customer driven technologies, with an emphasis on Internet retailing and e-Procurement Solutions for small, medium and large-size businesses.
Under Monica’s leadership, Office Depot has become the second largest e-retailer in the world behind Amazon.com. Office Depot’s award-winning Web site has received numerous accolades since its initial launch; including its inventive Internet use, both as a sales and business tool.
Moreover, Monica is committed to lending her expertise with peers; she has been responsible for developing open standards for business-to-business Internet Commerce and as such was President of the Open Buying on the Internet Consortium.
