Ron Browning
Ron Browning was appointed Assistant Adjutant General, marketing Services at the 97th National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Louisville, KY in August 1996. Ron began his VFW career as Director of Membership Development in March 1990 and was promoted to Director of Marketing Services in late 1991.
He is a member of VFW Post 846, Overland Park, KS.
During the Vietnam War, Ron served in the U.S. Navy in a helicopter air control unit. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, with two starts, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Ribbon.
In recent years, Ron has distinguished himself in the field of direct marketing. Through his work at Honeywell Communications, McMann Associates and Marketing Communications, he has developed new ideas in direct marketing, which have earned him national attention.
Ron is a graduate of Rockhurst College and was conferred with a Professional Certificate in Direct Marketing by the University of Missouri. He and his wife, Catherine, reside in Shawnee Mission, KS.
